Next Steps after Your Path of Liberation Retreat

Thank you for joining the 2025 Path of Liberation Level 5 retreat with Mingyur Rinpoche. Vajrayana Online offers everything you need to complete your Path of Liberation Level 5 homework.

Welcome by Lucas Henriksson

Practice with Confidence

For many students, Path of Liberation Level 2 is a pivotal retreat. As you know, Mingyur Rinpoche and Khenpo Kunga give this pointing out instruction only in person. This instruction for recognizing our true nature will accompany us throughout our entire path.
Starting February 2, Tergar Guide Fionnuala Shenpen Daffy will lead a four-week workshop to support you in completing the Path of Liberation Level 2 homework or, if you’ve already done so, in returning to these teachings to deepen your current practice. We will discuss the major themes and methods of the level, engage in the practices together, and clarify any questions that come up along the way.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Fionnuala Shenpen Daffy

Fionnuala Shenpen Daffy has studied and practiced Buddhism since meeting her main teachers Tsoknyi Rinpoche and Mingyur Rinpoche in Kathmandu in 1999. She has received teachings from many other Nyingma and Kagyu masters and completed a traditional four-year retreat under Pema Wangyal Rinpoche in France.
Fionnuala lived in Nepal for fifteen years. From 2003–2005 she lived at Osel Ling Monastery, continued her studies of Tibetan language and Buddhist philosophy, and assisted the Gompa Manager Lama Tashi. She accompanied Tsoknyi Rinpoche on the trip to Nangchen Tibet that resulted in the documentary Blessings. From 2013–2020, at Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s request, she set up and ran a school at Tsoknyi Gechak Ling, Kathmandu. Keeping Buddhist ethics at the core she incorporated learner-centered teaching methods to create a high-quality educational experience for young nuns. In 2016 Fionnuala started a Tergar group in Boudha, Kathmandu, with friends, and she is now starting groups at home in Ireland.
Fionnuala lives in Mountshannon on the banks of Lough Derg and enjoys swimming, kayaking, and growing vegetables in the community garden.

Everyone is homesick because our true home is inside us, and until we recognize that, we will long for comfort outside ourselves. The issue is whether we set out for home on the right or wrong path. Taking refuge connects us to the right path.

AWAKENING TOGETHER

Voices from Our Community

After a retreat with Mingyur Rinpoche, I joined Vajrayana Online as soon as I returned home. After examining the content offered online, I am totally convinced that this is exactly what I am looking for. I'm very grateful! I shall follow the journey through.

Joining the Path of Liberation Level 1 workshop in August was a truly enriching experience. With Kunsang’s warm guidance and the chance to listen to others — seeing myself reflected in their stories — new perspectives opened, and Rinpoche’s teachings began to click together like pieces of a puzzle.

When you receive the teachings once at a retreat, this is great, but there’s a risk that the inspiration to practice will pass quickly. Receiving Rinpoche’s instructions over a full year and connecting with a community creates a foundation for regular practice.
