Recording

We strongly encourage you to join us live. If you’re unable to attend, the recording will be made available.
Have you ever wondered why you react the way you do? Or why you instantly click with some people while others remain a mystery?
Join us for an illuminating live interview with Irini Rockwell, author of The Five Wisdom Energies (Shambhala), as we explore a powerful system that bridges ancient Tibetan wisdom with modern psychology. Joined by interviewer Tim Olmsted, this session offers a practical, playful, and profound map to understanding yourself and those around you.
  • Learn to recognize the five distinct energy patterns — space, water, earth, fire, and wind — that shape your experience.
  • Discover how to shift from “neurotic,” frozen states into natural, brilliant sanity.
  • Gain a new language for empathy and communication that can transform your relationships.
Irini Rockwell’s approach reveals that you don’t need to become someone new to find peace. As she explains, our confusion and our wisdom are inseparably linked. By befriending our “tightest knots,” we release the frozen energy of our defenses and uncover the clarity, warmth, and spontaneity that have been there all along.
When we make friends with and become fully aware of the constricted quality of our neurosis, we realize we are not connecting to the liberated aspect of the energy, but a distorted manifestation of it.
— Irini Rockwell
This event is a part of Vajrayana Online’s Blueprints of Awakening Immersion course with Mingyur Rinpoche and Tergar guides. As you explore the unique characteristics of the five buddha families, Irini’s interview joins a wealth of resources, including self-paced teachings, guided meditations, and live sessions.
Whether you are a longtime meditator or new to the path, this is your invitation to bring ancient wisdom into your actual life — turning your most challenging emotional patterns into gateways for freedom.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Irini Rockwell

Irini Rockwell is a senior teacher in the Buddhist lineage of Tibetan meditation master Chögyam Trungpa. She holds a master’s in contemplative psychotherapy and is the director of the Five Wisdoms Institute, an organization offering training programs to enhance self-awareness, communication, and effectiveness. She is also the author of The Five Wisdom Energies: A Buddhist Way of Understanding Personalities, Emotions, and Relationships and Natural Brilliance: A Buddhist System for Uncovering Your Strengths and Letting Them Shine. For more information, visit fivewisdomsinstitute.com
With so many people now experiencing trauma, both psychological and physical, who better to rely on than the great Vidyadhara Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, whose teachings remind us so clearly of our basic sanity? His wisdom lineage is alive and well in his students — but their challenge now is to bring direct experience of this wisdom to younger people. Irini Rockwell is doing just that: showing us how the Vidyadhara’s incredibly creative teachings on the Five Wisdoms can be directly applied.
